Café Golf, San Javier organised a Charity Golf Day at La Tercia in aid of MABS Cancer Support Group in Murcia. The weather was perfect and the teams started the day with a Putting and Chipping competition before playing 18 Holes. Competition results for the day were:

Third: Ivor Jones, Denis Eddy, Rod Andrew and Paul Pottage

Holes were sponsored by Iceland and Legs & Co, two of MABS main sponsors.
Café Golf also hosted the presentations in the evening, which took place after a BBQ supper (a regular Thursday night feature). There was also a raffle and entertainment with Nick Barker, ensuring that everyone had an enjoyable evening. A total of 623€ was raised, which included a donation of £100 from one of the guests. Fundraising Co-ordinator, Janet Bell, thanked the golfers and evening guests, saying “Fundraising is hard work, but made very worthwhile by people like Nike and Neil of Café Golf and the generosity of all who contributed to the day’s success. Without you, we couldn’t carry on helping the people who need it most in the Murcia region, those affected by cancer.”
